We’re upgrading our login system to Auth0, a trusted, industry-leading authentication platform. This change is part of our ongoing commitment to maintain the highest standards of security now and in the future. No action is required from you - your existing email, password, and multi-factor authentication (MFA) setup will continue to work exactly as they do today. As part of this update, the login page will look slightly different, and if you sign in with email and password, the sign-in steps will change: you’ll now enter your email first, followed by your password on the next screen.
What’s changing?
We’re modernizing the technology behind our login system. You will notice a slightly refreshed login page design and a two-step sign-in flow for users signing in with email and password. Everything else about how you access your account - including your credentials, MFA, and access - will remain the same.
When will this change happen?
This update will be coming in early November. This FAQ serves as your notification of the change, and no action is required on your part. The transition will occur automatically with no downtime.
For Firm Users:
If I sign in with email and password, what’s changing?
- You’ll notice a new login page design. (See screenshot below)
- Your email and password remain the same.
- The sign-in steps will change: you will first enter your email address, and then on the next screen, enter your password.
- Your MFA settings will still work - no changes are required.
Your credentials and access remain the same.
If I sign in using Single Sign-On (SSO), what’s changing?
- Nothing about how you log in will change. You will continue signing in through your Company’s SSO as you do today via your firm.suralink.com URL. The login page will simply have a new look. (See screenshot below)
If my firm uses a co-branded login page, what’s changing?
- If your firm uses a co-branded login page, the design will be refreshed, but your firm’s logo will still appear. No action is required on your part. (See screenshot below)
If I use Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), what’s changing?
If you have MFA set up, you’ll be asked to save a recovery code the first time you log in after this update. This code is a backup that helps you regain access to your account if you ever lose access to your authenticator app. You’ll only need to save it once.
If you ever use a recovery code to sign in, you’ll be asked to set up MFA again afterward to keep your account secure.
For Client Users:
What does this mean for clients invited to a firm’s portal?
- You’ll continue using the same email and password you use today.
- Your MFA setup will continue to work if you have MFA enabled.
- You’ll notice a new login page design and a slightly different sign-in flow: email first, then password on the next screen.
- Your access remains the same, and no action is required from you.
